Legal Assistance

Casa Cornelia Law Center and the Employee Rights Center

The Casa Cornelia Law Center has been a staple in the San Diego legal community for 28 years, providing pro- bono legal services to more than 15,000 clients using a trauma-informed lens as well as a long, trusting partnership with BSCC.

Catholic Charities

BSCC also works with Catholic Charities for legal services and asylum applications. Free to Thrive is another legal nonprofit organization that provides services to our clients that need assistance in record expungement, restraining orders, and court appearances.

U.S. Department of Labor

We also work closely with the U.S. Department of Labor, Wage and Hour division for labor exploitation / trafficking cases. Currently, we have a couple of active cases with them.

Mexican Consulate
Our new partner, the Mexican Consulate is also providing referrals for legal services, and interpretation when needed, for labor trafficking when clients are Mexican citizens. The Mexican Consulate is funding all legal fees under our Memorandum of Understanding.
